Game Night for Twenty-Somethings
Join us at Prescott for an in-person meetup for twenty-somethings with a passion for gaming. In the online space, the ability to socially connect with others is slowly becoming more rare. Game Night is a chance for people to find a common connection. These games can range from board games, video games, card games, party games to anything that has that gaming spirit. Come hang out with other like-minded folks. Pizza, Snacks and Water will be provided for a fun evening of game play.Feel free to bring games you would like to play! Any kind of games are welcome, be it board game, video game, or otherwise.GAME ON! **All proceeds benefit the Prescott Community Center.**

ENCORE - From Audition to Curtain Call - Grades 5-8
Dance, Music & Theatre
Encore is a transformative course designed to immerse young participants in the captivating world of stage production, providing a comprehensive walkthrough from audition to final performance. This course not only educates but also empowers students by allowing them to experience firsthand the various stages of theatrical creation. This 6-week program includes 5-weeks of Tuesday & Thursday 2-hour classes, 4-days of 2-hour of Tech Rehearsals, and 2 performance on the final week. Classes: 5 Tuesdays & Thursdays | Mar 11- Apr 10 | 5:00-7:00 PM Tech Rehearsal: Monday-Thursday | Apr 14-17 | 5:00-7:00 PM 2 Performances: Friday | Apr 18 | 7:00-8:00 PM & Saturday | Apr 19 | 2:00-3:00 PM The program covers the following topics: Introduction to Theater: Participants will gain a foundational understanding of theater as an art form, exploring its history, terminology, and significance in culture. Audition Techniques: Students will learn the essentials of auditioning, including preparation, delivery, and how to showcase their talents effectively. Character Development: Through workshops and exercises, students will delve into creating believable characters, understanding motivations, and developing depth in their performances. Script Analysis: Participants will dissect scripts, understanding plot structures, character arcs, and the thematic elements that drive a production. Stagecraft and Design: An exploration of set design, costume creation, lighting, and sound design, providing insights into the technical aspects that bring a production to life. Rehearsal Process: From blocking scenes to refining performances, students will experience the collaborative nature of rehearsals and the iterative process of perfecting a production. Performance Prep: Techniques for managing stage fright, building confidence, and developing a stage presence that captivates an audience. Teamwork and Collaboration: Emphasis on the importance of teamwork in theater, fostering communication skills, and understanding the roles of directors, producers, technicians, and actors. Production Management: An overview of the logistical aspects of theater production, including scheduling, budgeting, and promotion. Performance: Culminating in a showcase where students apply their newfound skills and knowledge, presenting a staged performance to family, friends, and the community.
