Birding Essentials: An Intro to eBird, Merlin, Bird Calls, and Local Birding Hotspots
Bird watching is a wonderful hobby that lets you enjoy the beauty of flying friends. It can, however, be challenging for both beginners and experienced birders. In this program, you will learn to use Merlin to identify birds by their sounds and explore local species through eBird. The instructor will share ways to recognize bird calls and improve your listening skills. We will then discuss bird migration patterns and find the local birding hotspots of the season. If the weather permits, we can step outside to apply what we learn immediately. Please download the eBird and Merlin apps on your phone before the class if you plan to use them. This program is suitable for anyone who wants to know more about birding. Coffee and light refreshment will be available for the talk.

Shake Your Soul® will allow you to move, groove and get creative in a fun, open and supportive environment with different types of music to inspire you. Get a workout at your own pace and rediscover how fun it can be to move your body to great music! Core Strength and Conditioning
Exercise
This class is for those who want to build strength, especially in their core, glutes, and shoulders. After age 35, we start losing muscle mass which can lead to a host of problems, but the good news is, if you are intentional with your exercise routine, you can build new muscle at any age! In this class, we will use progressive overload (repeating movements with multiple sets) to fatigue our muscles and thus build strength. All exercises are designed to be safe and effective. All abilities are welcome, no previous experience is required. Variations and modifications will always be given to work within your limits while still challenging yourself. Building a strong body helps to prevent injury, lose fat, and create a lifestyle where movement is accessible as we age. **You are required to bring a yoga mat and water.** Here is what they are saying about Emma's Core Strength & Conditioning Class: "Emma is very motivating, always positive!" Learn to Play Pickleball
Sport
Pickleball is social and fun! This class is geared for the player who wants to learn the game and all of its rules. Each week, the focus will shift to a different element of the game. During each class there will be instruction, player development skills & drills and game play. You are expected to attend all 4 weeks of the session. The instructor provides the pickleball racquets and balls. Students may choose to bring their own. Gentle Yoga for Healing: Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation
Yoga
This course is great for those who are recovering from an injury, or want to focus on injury prevention. We will focus on a combination of mobility, strength, and flexibility in the different joints in our bodies, to create more durability and resilience. This is a slow paced class, and great for those new to yoga, or those who want a gentle yet intentional class. Please bring a yoga mat to class.
