Watercolor Painting Studio
This course will help students execute paintings of their own subject matter. Guidance and critique from the teacher will focus on composition, color mixing, value and technique. Students will use photos to develop their own painting style. This course will allow students to grow their skills in a fun, supportive environment. French Knitting - Ages 10-14
Arts & Crafts
In this class, the children will learn the French Knitting method using a knitting spool with pegs to create a tube. They will fall in love with this fun and creative activity to make headbands, necklaces, bracelets, coasters, pot holders, and more. Please note the first class is 30 minutes longer ending at 5:00 PM. Students must bring materials: 1. Coopay Wooden Spool Loom Knitting Spool, Knit Spool Kit 2PCS French Knitting Spool with Crochet Hooks & Needles - It's available in Amazon and craft stores 2. A tightly spun yarn sport weight **Parent/Guardian is NOT required to stay for this class.**

Learn to Play Chess - Ages 6+
Games & Recreation
Do you want to learn and play chess with other chess enthusiasts? The players will dedicate their time to practicing and learning. The instructor will teach the rules, tactics, and strategies through game playing. We will keep the scores for all 6 sessions. The highest scorer will get a special award at the end of the program. In this program, the instructor will cover the following topics: 1- Learn the names of pieces, set up the chess board, and move the pieces 2- Learn how to capture the pieces, check, and checkmate 3- Study the chess rules: en passant, castling, queening, etc. 4- Explore the simple tactics: fork, pin, and discovered Check 5- Check out the simple opening theory, middle games, and end games. 6- Use the chess clock and read/write chess notation. This class is great for all levels. Students may bring their chess sets to the classroom, but not required. Come and meet your match! Adults who would like to learn are welcome to register. This class is open to ALL ages 6+. ** Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult!**

Art and Sensory Play - Ages 6-9
GDRSD Early Release Programs
Elementary students are invited to join Christin in this half day adventure. Students will have the opportunity to explore and create using some of our favorite sensory and art materials. Highlights include STEM experiments, art projects, and a DIY kit to take home. Students can bring their lunch and drinks to Prescott at 12:30 PM before the class or arrive at the class at 1:00 PM. Class $45 | Materials $10 **Parents/Guardians are NOT required to stay for this class.**

Snapology: (FALL) STEM, LEGOS, ROBOTICS, & MORE! - Ages 6-9
GDRSD Early Release Programs
Build away with friends on early release days at Prescott! With dozens of programs to choose from, there’s something for everyone. From fun, themed programs using LEGO® bricks to STEM / STEAM programs, Robotics, Movie-Making, and Drones, your children will be engaged from the minute they walk in the door. Each session will include two project activities with a 20-minute break in between. Students can bring their lunch and drinks to Prescott at 12:30 PM before the class or arrive at the class at 1:00 PM. September 20th – Amusement Park Engineering Design your own amusement park in this super fun program! Learn how to use LEGO® bricks and other building materials to make coasters and other awesome rides. Can you design the next Disney World? October 18th – Halloween Robotics Workshop In this spooktacular, Halloween-themed robotics workshop, your builder will explore the basics of robotics while building some really creepy monsters! While working with a partner to complete the building instructions and debug their robot's program, your student will be taught how different mechanical components work in their robots and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with creative building activities and wicked-fun games! December 13th – How the Grinch Stole Bricks Workshop In this workshop, students will immerse themselves in the city of Whoville and the story of the Grinch! They will design machines to help the Grinch with his sneaky mission to ruin Christmas, build the city of Whoville, and create sleds to get from the top of Mt. Crumpit down to the city of Whoville! No matter what the Grinch says, it’s going to be a blast! December 20th – Winter Holiday Robotics Workshop In our Winter Holiday Robotics program, your builder will explore the basics of robotics while building some really fantastic robots inspired by different holiday traditions! While working with a partner to complete the building instructions and debug their robot's program, your student will be taught how different mechanical components work in their robots and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with creative building activities and information about the traditions that make winter such a special time of year! **Parent/Guardian is NOT required to stay. This is a drop-off program.

Code Wiz - Code, Create, & Grow - Ages 9-13 & 6-10
GDRSD Early Release Programs
Students develop programming skills along with invaluable approaches to critical thinking and problem-solving. Anyone can learn to code—regardless of age, tech proficiency, or personal interests. There is no limit to your child’s potential. Students will create by completing projects rather than levels, to foster creativity and fuel the entrepreneurial spirit that may later lead to world-changing technologies—you never know, you may be raising the next Bill Gates! Students can bring their lunch and drinks to Prescott at 12:30 PM before the class or arrive at the class at 1:00 PM. Middle School GDRSD Half-Day - (Ages 9-13) Nov 20 - Robotics and 3D Printing Camp: This camp combines the exciting worlds of robotics and 3D printing. Campers will have the opportunity to design, build, and program their own robots, and complement their creations with custom 3D printed parts. This hands-on experience fosters problem-solving skills and innovation. Nov 21 - Minecraft Camp: Our Minecraft Camp uses this popular platform to teach campers about game design, coding, and even electrical engineering through Redstone circuits. It's a creative way to learn technical skills while having fun. Elementary School GDRSD Half-Day - (Ages 6-10) Nov 25 - Roblox Camp: For those interested in game development, our Roblox Camp is a perfect choice. Campers use Roblox Studio to create their own games, learning about coding, game design, and digital storytelling. Nov 26 - Circuit Genius Camp: Featuring the use of Makey Makey, our Inventors Camp encourages campers to think outside the box. They engage in various projects that involve coding, engineering, and creativity, turning their innovative ideas into reality with this versatile invention kit.
