Snapology: Science of Superpowers & Mining and Building-Epic - Ages 6-12
April Break
Level up your April Break with Snapology! Our full-day program features two epic adventures: Science of Superpowers and Mining & Building-Epic (inspired by Minecraft) The Science of Superpowers program invites students to explore the fascinating science behind superpowers through hands-on experiments and building activities. Using LEGO® bricks and other materials, participants discover how principles of physics, chemistry, and biology make extraordinary abilities—like flight, super strength, or speed—possible in the real world. Throughout the program, students design, build, and test their own "superpowered" creations, experimenting with motion, energy, forces, and simple machines. They learn to observe, hypothesize, and problem-solve like real scientists, discovering how scientific concepts can explain even the most imaginative powers. The program encourages creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork as students collaborate to bring their superpowered ideas to life. By combining fun, interactive activities with practical science learning, the Science of Superpowers program inspires curiosity, builds confidence, and gives students a hands-on understanding of how science is all around us—even in the world of superheroes. The Mining and Building- Epic program allows students to dive deeper into mining and construction through hands-on, challenging LEGO® building projects. Participants explore advanced building techniques, simple machines, and mechanical systems while designing and constructing larger, more complex structures. Throughout the program, students take on guided challenges that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. They experiment with different designs, test their creations, and refine their projects to improve stability, functionality, and efficiency. Collaboration and teamwork are emphasized as students work in groups to share ideas, solve challenges, and build ambitious projects together. By combining imaginative play with advanced engineering concepts, Mining and Building Epic provides an exciting, educational experience that fosters STEM skills, confidence, and a love for hands-on learning. Children will bring 2 nut-free snacks, a water bottle, and a nut-free lunch. There will be movement breaks to keep kids energized! **The class requires a minimum of 10 students on the Friday before the class starts. Please register early so you don't miss the fun!**
