Cyanotype Printing
Explore cyanotype printing on paper or fabric to create botanical or photo-style prints by applying a light-sensitive iron solution, then exposing it to sunlight to produce a cyan-blue print. Cyanotype is a photographic printing process invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842. It was first used to make architecture blueprints. This class will cover a little history and the basic process for creating your own prints using nontoxic chemicals, the power of the sun, and a dash of creativity!Workshop $40 | Material fee $20

Geopolitical Roundtable: A Closer Look at Significant Issues and Events in Geopolitics Today
Current Events
MG (Ret) Bruce Zukauskas will lead and facilitate a roundtable discussion on significant geopolitical issues and events occurring in today's complex world. The objective is to provide a forum for a better understanding of world events and also provide a means to discuss and learn about different viewpoints on world affairs. General Zukauskas will select his “Top 3 Issues or Events of the Day” prior to each session in order to help stimulate the discussion. For example, the “Top 3 Issues” for a session might be: the West’s continued support for the War in Ukraine, Israel and Hamas, or Iran’s next move in the Middle East. He will begin each session with a short background presentation for a better understanding of the topics. A roundtable discussion, facilitated by General Zukauskas, will follow for questions, comments, and discussion on the selected topics or other noteworthy geopolitical topics of interest by the group. **All proceeds benefit the Prescott Community Center.** Here is what they are saying about Bruce's Geopolitical Roundtable: "I have attended a number of the General's Roundtables and have always come away with a 360 degree, 30,000 ft view of world affairs. I have never felt a political bias or intent to convince in his presentations. Just a clear outlining of the facts that he has collected and his unique perspective as a retired general. I also enjoy the conversations that it stirs in the participants. Highly recommend this series!" "A diverse array of relevant topics is addressed, with Organizer presenting thought-provoking content." "He is always prepared, well informed, invites comments and questions." "Bruce is extremely prepared and a great presenter. There were many diverse political opinions in the class, but Bruce navigated the discussion perfectly without engaging in partisan politics. He presented the material with a historical perspective as it related to Russia which was something you don't hear on the news." "It's a great class. Everyone is friendly and the format is great for an open discussion while being a curated experience."

Yikes! AI Just Took My Job—What Now? And Other Questions We Should Be Asking
Current Events
Pat will lead a discussion on how AI will impact our lives, jobs, community, country, and the world. It took a century for the industrial revolution to unfold and decades for the internet to change our lives. With AI doubling in power every 7 month, are we ready for the implications? How will humanity eventually respond to AI changes, and how will we value ourselves and each other? Will these AI changes be disruptive to our well-being and to both local and global stability? The topics/questions may include: 1. What does it mean for one's self-worth when their degree, job, or role in the community or family overnight becomes redundant? 2. What will it mean for today's economic and political models? 3. How will it impact the current education system? 4. What is the impact of the defense and warfare systems? 5. Will it change health care or extend life spans? Do you currently work in the field? Bring your expertise and questions to expand the conversation.
