Adult, Child & Infant CPR with AED & First Aid
This intensive three-hour course covers adult/child CPR and AED, adult/child/infant choking, and infant CPR. Following the course, you will be comfortable assessing a victim, checking for breathing, performing rescue breaths and chest compressions, and activating the emergency response system. You will also learn how to help someone who is choking, respond in other emergency situations, and use an AED. An American Heart Association course completion card good for two years will be emailed to participants following the course. **Optional: bring a yoga mat or towel for comfort during the hands on portion.**Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certification e-card within 2 weeks of your class date. To claim your card, you can either: Login to your American Heart Association account at heart.org/cpr/mycards. Check your email! It will be emailed to you directly from the American Heart Association (eCards@heart.org) with the subject line "Claim your AHA eCard". This class explores essential elements and principles of art—such as perspective, proportion, texture, color theory, shapes, forms, and lines—and how they contribute to artistic creation. Through engaging projects, students will complete and take home a unique artwork at the end of each class. Beginner Knitting for Kids - Ages 5-9 (& Accompanying Adults)

Learn the basics of knitting in this fun and welcoming class designed just for beginners! Students will get hands-on experience with essential techniques, including casting on and mastering the basic knit stitch. Once they’ve built confidence with the fundamentals, they'll choose a simple, rewarding project—either a cozy scarf or a mini blanket for a favorite stuffed animal. No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and creativity! Class $120 | Material fee $10 The instructor will provide the class materials. This is a children’s program. Parents are not required to stay. However, accompanying adults are welcome and encouraged to participate but must register as a student in order to take part. Child + Adult - Class $240 | Material fee $20 **Parent/Guardian is NOT required to stay for this program.**

Cartooning: Building Your Own Comic Books - Ages 7-12
Arts & Crafts
In this class, we’ll pick up where we left off from the Developing Your Drawing program and start turning our awesome ideas into short comic books. Everyone will run their stories by the rest of their classmates, come up with the characters and dialogue, sketch, and then finish their pages with ink. Please contact the Prescott office if you would like to attend but haven't completed the Developing Your Drawing program. Students are required to bring the following materials: 1. 11x17 comic book paper or 11x17 copy paper 2. Pencils 3. Ruler 4. Various inking tools like Copic Markers, and/or black India ink, and a brush 5. Coloring materials like markers **Parent/Guardian is NOT required to stay for this program.**

Developing Your Drawing - Ages 7-12
Arts & Crafts
Students will learn how to create their own unique characters, explore facial expressions, and draw fun, dynamic poses. Through easy-to-follow lessons, they’ll learn about shape languages and how they affect the audience, how authors create their characters, and ultimately create their own fun and unique characters. They'll also learn the fundamentals of color and perspective. Whether it’s drawing wacky animals or silly superheroes, this class encourages creativity and provides kids with the tools to express their ideas through cartooning. No experience needed—just a love for drawing and having fun! Students are required to bring pencils or pens, and paper to draw on. Optional: Students who want to use an Ipad, tablet or laptop need to download Procreate or Clip Studio Paint and have an Apple Pencil or a similar stylus.

Manga for Teens - Ages 12-17

This five-week class is perfect for anyone interested in learning how to create semi-realistic and cartoon-style Manga characters. Students will explore how to draw and shape character anatomy and face expressions, focusing on proportions, poses, and adding intricate details like accessories. The class also incorporates the use of various materials such as watercolor, markers, and colored pencils, while introducing creative topics like fashion design. Projects are designed to be fun and engaging, offering both basic and advanced techniques in anatomy drawing. Each session features new and exciting projects, making this class ideal for students who want to repeat and continue building their skills over multiple sessions. All materials are provided. Me, Myself and Art: Exploring Identity Through Mask Making - Grades 6-8
Arts & Crafts
In this creative and reflective art class, students in grades 6–8 will explore identity and self-expression through mask making. Using a variety of materials and techniques, young artists will design masks that represent both how they present themselves to the world and how they see themselves on the inside. This class provides a supportive space for middle schoolers to express their individuality, build artistic skills, and thoughtfully explore who they are through art. All materials are provided. We offer confidential Card to Culture scholarships to help make our programs accessible to everyone. For details, please call our office—we’re happy to assist you! Office: 978-877-6933 Andrea Wilson will serve as the Arts Elevate: Artist-in-Residence for Youth Wellness in Greater Lowell. This program is supported by the Greater Lowell Community Foundation (GLCF) in partnership with the Barr Foundation. Andrea Wilson will be part of The Umbrella’s 2026-2027 Artist-in-Residence cohort. The Greater Lowell Community Foundation (GLCF) is partnering with four youth-serving nonprofit organizations to pilot an artist-in-residence non-clinical program that is designed to improve youth wellness through creative engagement. The program is being developed with lead funding from the Barr Foundation through itsCreative Commonwealth Initiative. Disclaimer: Participants of this program may be asked to contribute responses to evaluation questions, participate in interviews about their experiences, and may be included in photo and video documentation.
