Information Session for a 10 Day Tour of Viñales and Havana, Cuba
Nick DePasquale, a US-based host/tour leader, and an award-winning photographer, will lead a small group of 8 travelers to visit the valley and fields of Viñales and the capital Havana for a 10-day tour in 2026. Nick will guide you through the trip preparation and join you for the trip. This is a cultural and educational experience in support of the Cuban people. He will offer two information sessions about the trip and registration.

Dates & Prices:Feb 1, 2026 - Feb 11, 2026
Prices are estimated at around USD 5,000 per person. Airfare is not included. The fees are deposited in three increments, April 1st, July 15th, and November 1st. No refunds once the first deposit is paid unless a replacement person is found. If the trip organizer cancels the trip, they will initiate a full refund to all the registrants. There are some other terms and conditions that may apply. Nick will discuss them during the info sessions.

Note this is a tour of up to 8 participants, not a photography workshop. As such, all forms of cameras are used including smartphone cameras. This tour gives access to locations that most tours do not.

Nick DePasquale is a photography instructor. He has been teaching professional photography workshops and leading tours to Cuba. The February 2026 Tour to Havana and Vinales will be Nick’s 5th trip. Nick first visited Cuba in January 2023. Deeply moved by the Cuban people, their history, culture, and the challenges they face, along with their resilience, he made a commitment before leaving Havana to share his experiences. He leverages social media, lectures, and tours to keep telling their story. The Cuban people possess a remarkable human spirit that they share with visitors to their country.
Nick partners with EYECUBA, a tour operator in Cuba. Kip, the founder of EYECUBA, is an American citizen who lives in Havana. Kip has been designing and leading tours in Cuba since 2009. Sandor, born and lives in Cuba, is a former High School English teacher and historian. He has worked with Kip for many years and has been a tour guide for many organizations including National Geographic Expeditions. Joe Baraban, who has organized and led many workshops including 9 to Cuba, will most likely join us on the tour too.
Before the trip, Nick will provide all the details including advising on flights, visas, entry forms, what to bring, what to expect, etc., and will be the primary contact person with EYECUBA. While in Cuba, Nick will be with you on the trip providing support and ensuring you are well taken care of.
