Wearable Arts: Knitting – Design Your Own Sweater, Coat or Knitted Wall Hanging

This course is designed for experienced knitters who have made sweaters before (including knitting, purling, decreases, and increases) and want to utilize their stash, new and diverse yarns, and various stitches to create a piece of wearable art or a wall-hanging. You will learn how to use graph paper, take measurements for your needs, and work with different weight yarns and varied stitches in one garment or wall hanging. You will gain new skills, meet new people, and end up with a finished piece to cherish! But most of all, you will have fun!

Students are required to bring materials. A list will be sent in your confirmation email.

Dee is a full time Artist and Knit Designer. She has taught knitting for 25 years and sells her knitted garments at Craft Fairs. She taught art to children at a private school for ten years in Massachusetts. Dee paints with oils and acrylics about Nature and Scientific Theories developed by Einstein. She is invested in the Secrets of Nature and Science, especially trees.
