Join us for a dynamic opera education series centered around the Live from the Met in HD broadcasts. The program begins with an Opera 101 introduction class —perfect for newcomers and seasoned fans alike— offering an overview of opera as an art form, including its history, key terminology, and what to listen for in a performance. Before each broadcast, participants will receive background on the featured opera, its composer, story, and production elements to enhance the viewing experience. Following each screening, the group will gather for a guided reflection and discussion, providing space to share impressions, unpack themes, and deepen understanding.
