Night Sky Star Gazing Party

Adult & Family Programs / Nature & Outdoors -
Prescott CC - 2025 PROGRAM CATALOG

Join us for a stargazing party on a dark fall night! In the first hour of the event, the instructor will introduce the life of a star and the current visible constellations, giant red stars, planets, nebulae, and the Milky Way Galaxy! Then, assuming a clear sky, we will apply what we have learned in the General Field in Groton, MA. If clouds prevent viewing, we'll work with participants to schedule another viewing date.

This program will start off at Prescott Community Center and then we'll all drive over to General Field for observing.

The instructor will bring a set of telescopes to share with attendees. You are welcome to bring yours.
Bring a jacket and warm layers as the temperature may be cooler at night in the fall.
