Welcome to this introductory session on Vedic Astrology, also known as Jyotish Shastra — the ancient science of light. Rooted in the Vedas, India’s oldest spiritual texts, Vedic astrology is a time-tested system that offers profound insight into the patterns of our lives, our personalities, and our karmic journeys. Unlike Western astrology, Vedic Astrology considers the precise position of planets at the time of your birth to create a Janma Kundali (birth chart), which serves as a blueprint of your life.
This session will cover the following topics: 1. The fundamentals of Vedic astrology, including the 12 houses, 9 planets (Navagrahas), and 12 zodiac signs (Rashis)
2. The role of Nakshatras (lunar constellations) and how they influence temperament and destiny
3. The concept of karma and dharma through the lens of planetary placements
4. Introduction to Dashas (planetary periods) and how timing affects different phases of life
5. How astrology can be used as a tool for self-awareness, relationship compatibility, and life decisions
This is not a session for predictions or superstition, but rather an opportunity to understand the language of the cosmos and how it reflects your inner and outer journey.
