Historical Lost Lake Boat Tour

Adult & Family Programs / History & Culture -
Prescott CC - 2025 PROGRAM CATALOG

Alex Woodle, a longtime resident of Lost Lake, will lead a historical tour around Lost Lake in Groton. Alex has over 100 years of in-depth knowledge of the lake region, stemming from his family's direct association with the area since the 1920s. In this 1.5-hour boat ride, he will talk about the early days of summer camps, the history of the lake, the influx of people from the nearby cities, the tight-knit lake community, and many more. This tour is designed for those new to Groton or interested in learning about Lost Lake.

You’ll need to take a short walk down a woodland trail to reach Sargisson Beach dock. Please wear proper footwear.
We’ll meet right on the dock at Sargisson Beach Park. Please plan to arrive about 10 minutes early to allow time for parking and the short walk down to the dock.

We appreciate Alex Woodle for volunteering his time to give the talk.
All proceeds benefit the Prescott Community Center.
