Maybe you are rusty and need a refresher, maybe you have a machine and you’ve never used it. Maybe you have ideas for things to make but you need a little help. Bring your sewing machine with you and get the support you need to feel comfortable working on your own. Learn to thread your machine and change the bobbin with confidence. Over the course of this class you will have a choice of projects where you can learn to make a fabric coaster/placemat, drawstring bag, fabric bowl, and zippered pouch.
Students must bring their own sewing machines, fabric, coordinating thread, pins, scissors, and a zipper for your pouch. Claudia will bring batting for the projects.
Claudia Owens is a local artist with a passion for sewing. She attended school for fashion design and worked within the field before becoming a full time teacher. She loves to share the joys of sewing, both by hand and by machine, with both kids and adults alike.
