An introductory workshop on Bollywood Dance Fitness, a dance cardio session featuring music and dance moves from Indian movies, drawing inspiration from around the world. This cardio session is a fusion of various dance styles, including classical Indian dances such as Bharatanatyam and Kathak, as well as elements of folk dances like Bhangra/Garba, jazz, hip-hop, and modern dance. It has become a popular form of exercise and recreation for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn and enjoy.
Shikha is a certified personal trainer and has developed a Bollywood Dance Workout program that incorporates the folk, classical and contemporary elements of Bollywood dancing into a fun energetic and exclusively choreographed workout that enriches everyone's workout experience.
Shikha is trained in Kathak form of classical dance form India and has extensive experience in Indian folk and fusion styles of dancing. Shikha has been choreographing and performing for various community/charitable/fund raising events around the Boston area for over 20 years and has won many Bollywood based dance competitions.
