If you’ve ever struggled to understand where to begin or how to maintain a steady practice, this class is your perfect starting point. Leave feeling stronger, more confident, and ready to continue your fitness journey.

Participants are required to bring an exercise mat, medium-to-you pair of dumbbells (feel free to reach out to instructor for advice!), and a water bottle.

Scott Blumsack

Scott Blumsack is a seasoned entrepreneur, fitness enthusiast, and transformation expert with a passion for helping individuals and communities thrive. Drawing on decades of experience in the lifestyle, wellness, and sports industries, Scott is the founder of SBC Fit MicroGym™ and a registered student with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching. He is dedicated to creating meaningful change through fitness, education, and community-driven opportunities.

Scott’s journey into fitness began as his own Client Zero. After struggling with chronic pain, weight management, and overall health, he rebuilt his life through sustainable fitness and nutrition practices. Scott’s personal transformation, losing 100 pounds and achieving peak physical and mental wellness, shaped his mission to guide others facing similar challenges.

Professional Background:

Former collegiate baseball coach with 12 seasons of experience mentoring athletes.
Founder and operator of Mass Athletics LLC, including A's Baseball, The A's Baseball and Softball Training Center, and Roving Scout Baseball, specializing in sport-specific training and collegiate recruiting.

Marketing Director for the Cambridge YMCA, leading healthy initiatives and community engagement.

Veteran of the lifestyle and wellness industries, excelling in operations, customer service, and team leadership, with expertise in startup and retail environments.
Vision and Approach: Scott focuses on helping clients in the toughest spots, those who need serious physical and mental transformations. He specializes in beginner strength training, functional fitness, and personalized coaching, blending evidence-based methods with empathy and firsthand experience. His broader mission extends beyond individual clients, aiming to create job opportunities in wellness, promote healthy lifestyles in the communities he serves, and scale his businesses and brands to drive positive impact.

Scott’s philosophy is simple yet powerful: transformation is possible at any stage of life. With the right mindset, tools, and guidance, anyone can achieve lasting success.


Kerry Ann Madden

Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach

Kerry Ann Madden had struggled with body image, yoyo dieting and exercise for as long as she could remember. After years of trial and error, she decided to get scientific about these challenges and become a body positive, weight inclusive Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach. The result? She learned what it takes to help people achieve healthier relationships with food and their bodies, reduce stress and gain more energy to create a healthy lifestyle that lasts. 

Kerry also has a passion for functional fitness, stress reduction and corrective exercise, learning how to move, breath and progress in a manner that keeps you strong, balanced and avoid injury in and out of the fitness facility.
