This class explores essential elements and principles of art—such as perspective, proportion, texture, color theory, shapes, forms, and lines—and how they contribute to artistic creation. Through engaging projects, students will complete and take home a unique artwork at the end of each class. Lessons are thoughtfully designed to encourage exploration with a variety of materials, including markers, pastels, colored pencils, and black-and-white shading tools. The class is perfect for both beginners and advanced students, offering step-by-step guidance to build foundational skills while leaving plenty of room for creativity and personal expression.

Sahar Ghavimi is a highly educated and experienced artist and educator. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, an Associate Degree in Graphic Design, and a Master’s in Art Education. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Sahar has shared her passion for art in diverse settings, including her own art studio, museums, libraries, colleges, and public schools. Currently, she has served as a Graphic Design teacher at Nashua High School, where she continues to inspire and guide her students in creative expression.
