Join local cartoonist Bob Clark to learn how to use Procreate to illustrate original characters and bring characters to life with expressions and actions! Students will be immersed and inspired in their imaginations and creativities.
The student must bring an hand-held computer like iPad with a downloaded Procreate app and an Apple (or similar) pencil.
**Parents/Guardians are NOT required to stay for the class.**
Around age six I knew I wanted to be an artist but ran with the humor cartoon scissors while in school drawing cartoons of teachers, which wasn't taken lightly back then. At sixteen they sent me off to Mass College of Art program for upcoming young artists. Soon I discover Xerox copiers there so I decorated their building with antiwar poster cartoons, Sort of high tech graffiti back then if you think about it.Life became hard for a slacker. After high school I took off to Butera School of Art in Boston to study sign painting to make some money. But I soon crossed over to the dark side into the world of advertising. I started pursuing an education on the evil path of the dark side with advertising art at Northeastern University for several years, studying Advanced Graphic Design, Branding, Logo Design, Marketing, Magazine Design, and other black arts of influence pedaling sorcery. Just what a Slacker needed – Thinking not working!Taking a bride, who was going to cure him of his wicked ways I went to work as an Art Director/Creative Overload for corporate America at Analog Devices, Honeywell, Northern Telecom, and Wang to name a few. While working for these creative marketing groups we won numerous awards for design, packaging, product usability by using the magic of humor and creativity. Now retired corporate I started teaching kids Animation at Middlesex Community College to have fun once again, but my bride wanted to know when I going to start painting again - the bathroom could use a coat. So back to the brushes where it all began he went.
