Cyanotype Printing
Explore cyanotype printing on paper or fabric to create botanical or photo-style prints by applying a light-sensitive iron solution, then exposing it to sunlight to produce a cyan-blue print. Cyanotype is a photographic printing process invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842. It was first used to make architecture blueprints. This class will cover a little history and the basic process for creating your own prints using nontoxic chemicals, the power of the sun, and a dash of creativity!Workshop $40 | Material fee $20

Kidpreneurs: Build Your Own Lemonade Stand - Ages 6-9
Summer Fun Programs
Get ready to mix, create, and sell! In this hands-on summer program, kids become real “Kidpreneurs” as they build and run their very own lemonade stand from start to finish. They’ll dream up fun flavors, test their recipes, design signs, set prices, and work together to bring their business to life. Along the way, they’ll talk to real customers, gather feedback, and make decisions just like true entrepreneurs—then set up shop outside Prescott Community Center to sell their final product to the community. Friends, family, and neighbors are invited to stop by, support these young business owners, and enjoy a refreshing cup of lemonade! All proceeds will go toward supporting future community programs at Prescott. It’s a fun, creative, and confidence-building experience where kids learn teamwork, problem-solving, and the excitement of running their own business. What They’ll Do Each Day: Day 1: Dream it up! Create a business plan, choose flavors/plan menu, set prices, and design eye-catching signs for marketing. Day 2: Test & create! Develop and test the products and create the final version for selling. Day 3: Launch day! Set up the stand, sell to real customers, review the results, and celebrate what they built together.

April Break: Arts & Crafts + Fun! - Ages 5-11
April Break
Finish April Vacation with Springtime Creativity & Fun! Join us for an afternoon of exploring adorable and inventive Springtime arts and crafts. We’ll have multiple stations set up where kids can dive into projects using paint, yarn, felt, beads, and more. Whether they want to create a quick masterpiece or spend time perfecting a few different projects, there’s plenty of room to experiment! To wrap up the session, weather permitting, we’ll head outside for some fresh air and fun with reusable 'knit' water balloons—soft, absorbent yarn balls that provide all the splash without the latex mess! Alternatively, kids can join an instructor-led dance break featuring popular songs from artists like Taylor Swift. Class $45 | Material fee $7

Step into a world of imagination where stories come to life! In Puppet Tales & Tiny Theaters, children will explore their creativity by inventing their own stories, designing unique puppet characters, and bringing them to the stage. Through fun, hands-on activities, kids will craft puppets using a variety of materials, develop storytelling skills, and collaborate with others to create mini performances. The program encourages confidence, self-expression, and teamwork as young puppeteers turn their ideas into delightful shows to share with family and friends. The performance will take place on the last day of the program. Family and friends are welcome to join and celebrate!
