Storytelling at Prescott
Prescott’s First Storytelling Night!Join us for our very first storytelling event — an evening for those who have a story to share and for those who simply love to listen. This season’s theme is inspired by spring and new beginnings — stories of growth, transformation, fresh starts, exploration, growing pains, or stepping out of your shell. However you interpret it, we want to hear your true story.Stories must be real, told live on a small stage with a microphone, and are strictly limited to 7 minutes per person. They can be funny, heartfelt, surprising, or deeply moving.Join us to share your voice, meet new people, and connect with our community.Come tell. Come listen. Come belong.Registration is required for all guests, including storytellers and the audience. After you have registered as a Storyteller, join us for two FREE optional workshops to help you prepare.Owen Shuman and Julia Bucci will offer:Preparing Your Story — March 15 | 4:00–6:00 PMPractice Session — March 22 | 4:00–6:00 PMThese workshops are optional but designed to help you feel confident and ready for the stage.CLICK HERE to learn more and register for the FREE Workshops. Learn to Play Pickleball
Sport
Pickleball is social and fun! This class is geared for the player who wants to learn the game and all of its rules. Each week, the focus will shift to a different element of the game. During each class there will be instruction, player development skills & drills and game play. You are expected to attend all 4 weeks of the session. The instructor provides the pickleball racquets and balls. Students may choose to bring their own. Here is what they are saying about Sue's class: "Small size meant that you got individual tips and advice. Excellent instructor!" "The class was perfect for someone interested in learning the basics of pickle ball. Sue Adams did a great job explaining the rules of the game and answering any questions the group had." "I liked four things equally: Sue's upbeat and methodical instruction; having rackets available to "test drive"; the Prescott's registration interface with follow-up to Pickleball Open play dates; being with real, live, human beings. Thank you Prescott for making this happen!!" "The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and helpful." "The instructor was incredible! Her love of the game was infectious. She was so patient and encouraging." "I really appreciated the effort the instructor made at making us all better players." "The instructor was awesome! It was a small class so we really got a lot of time to learn and practice." "Sue was an incredible instructor! She was patient and able to give kind, helpful feedback to everyone in the class even with multiple things happening at once. You can feel her passion for pickleball!" "The class was a great introduction to Pickleball. Sue was a great instructor - knowledgeable, very patient, and encouraging as we learned. The small class size was very helpful."
