Ready to build your sewing confidence and create something you’ll actually wear? In this two-session workshop, students will learn how to make a simple, custom, gathered skirt using their own sewing machines. We’ll start by measuring, drafting, and cutting a basic skirt pattern, then move on to assembling and sewing the garment step-by-step. You’ll practice essential machine-sewing skills such as accurate cutting, seam construction, waistband techniques, and finishing seams. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a handmade skirt and the knowledge to recreate the pattern again at home. You should come already knowing how to use your sewing machine.
Students are required to bring materials including a sewing machine. A materials list is provided in the confirmation email.
