This beginner-friendly sewing workshop teaches kids how to sew a simple, wearable skirt using their own sewing machines. Over two sessions, students will practice basic garment sewing skills such as measuring, pinning, sewing straight seams, creating a waistband, and finishing their project. Along the way, young makers will build confidence using their sewing machines while designing a skirt they can proudly wear. If time allows, students may also sew a small bonus project to practice their new skills. Kids should come already knowing how to use their machine.
Students are required to bring materials including a sewing machine. A materials list is provided in the confirmation email.
