In this creative, hands-on class, children experience the full journey of knitting—from crafting their own wooden knitting needles to decorating a canvas bag for storing yarn and tools. This program is perfect for beginners with no prior experience, as well as for those who want to refresh and strengthen their knitting skills. Students will learn basic techniques while creating a soft stuffed animal to take home.

All materials will be provided.

Sarah Domings

Teacher by day, crafter by night. One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is to get creative! My love for this art began about 25 years ago when I made a hat for my newborn nephew. My knitted hats quickly became sought-after gifts for friends and family. At the after-school program where I work, I have taught children ages 7 to 12 to knit hats and scarves. My approach to teaching this lifelong skill is to have patience and encourage my students. If I can knit, so can you! I hope to see you for my April Vacation Beginner Knitting Class!
