Mike will share his love of photography, especially lighting. In this course, the focus will be on explaining studio lighting, its importance, and how lighting affects the way we perceive what we see. Each participant will receive their very own tabletop studio lighting system. The lighting system will be used throughout the course and you get to keep it!
The topics may include, but are not limited to:
1. Set up studio lighting equipment
2. Understand lighting patterns
3. Work with various studio lighting options
4. Experiment with light configuration
5. Conduct in-class projects
6. Discuss studio works
This class teaches how to use lighting to create a successful image. Lighting fundamentally shapes the appearance and mood of an image.
You can use your phone or camera for this class.

With over 50 years of photographic experience I see any really good shot taken has to do with lighting, whether Studio or natural. Whether taking a photo with a Kodak brownie or playing with a black reflector to see how it absorbs light. I love drawing with light.
