No plot? No problem!

Take your story to the next level in this fun fiction writing workshop! Each day we’ll start with some warm-up writing exercises, then dive into one of the elements of fiction to see how character, conflict and setting work together to create a plot. Then we’ll brainstorm ways to escalate the tension to build a great story. Using a combination of lecture, group and individual exercises, this workshop will allow teens to explore the craft of fiction to develop their unique ideas in any fiction genre.

Elaine Isaak

Elaine Isaak is the author of over twenty-six novels and counting, across genres including fantasy, thriller, adventure, science fiction and romance. She's best known for her Dark Apostle series (dark historical fantasy about medieval surgery) from DAW books, and the Bone Guard archaeological thrillers as by E. Chris Ambrose. She has taught at the Odyssey Speculative fiction workshop, the New Hampshire Writer's Project and judged the World Fantasy Awards.
