  • HoneyBound Meadery: Tasting & Tour at The Colony

    Join The Colony’s founder and expert Beekeeper/Mazer, Rick Reault, for an inside look at the ancient art of mead-making. Discover how raw, pure honey straight from the hive is transformed into mead through a traditional fermentation process, followed by a guided tasting of both meads and honey wines, paired with a delicious charcuterie board. Before the event, you’re welcome to explore the outdoor Pollinator Trail—featuring over 50 varieties of flowers, bushes, and trees—and observe the beehives, weather and bee activity permitting. After the tour, be sure to browse the shop for a chance to take home your favorite meads, honey wines, and other unique products. NOTE!!: Attendees should have some food before arriving and drink responsibly. **You must be 21 years or older to attend this event.**

    Come experience Indian culture and savor delicious vegetarian street food! Divya and Padma will guide you through preparing some popular street food favorites, including: Mango lassi is a yogurt-based beverage with a smoothie-like consistency. It's the best-loved summer drink in India! Chana Chaat is a popular Indian snack where cooked chickpeas are coated with tamarind chutney, vegetables, yogurt, chaat masala, and crunchy wheat-based wafers. It’s spicy, tangy, and crave-worthy! Veg Khaki Roll is an Indian layered paratha wrap stuffed with a spiced mix of vegetable stuffing. It makes for a good brunch, lunch, or tiffin box snack or a portable meal on the go! Overall, the class will also share the experience of eating using a plantain leaf, which adds an element of cultural richness and sustainability to the dining experience.
