Want to be an entrepreneur? It's never too early to start!
Groton-Dunstable Regional DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) high school students will share their leadership skills to lead a four-session program on developing and marketing a product from an "idea". Participants will learn the process, including idea generation, concept development, product creation, profit analysis, marketing, testing, and more. With a focus area each week, students will brainstorm, experiment with hands-on activities, and present their findings or solutions. The program is designed for middle school students. Students are encouraged to bring their product ideas to the first session, though it's not required. The final work will be presented at the end of the program and at GrotonFest in the fall.
The topics may include the following:
1st week - Gathering product ideas
2nd week - Product development
3rd week - Building the actual products
4th week - Product marketing and profit analysis
