This Social Skills group is designed for children ages 7-9 who need support building confidence, managing social situations, and learning/improving foundational social skills. In a fun, structured, safe, and supportive environment, children will learn and practice key social skills and strategies through engaging group activities and interactive games. Each session will focus on developing essential skills: taking turns and sharing, starting and maintaining a conversation, understanding and respecting personal space, reading body language and facial expressions, managing emotions and problem solving with peers, as well as teamwork and cooperation. Led by a licensed special education teacher, each session will include structured lessons, guided practice, and playful challenges that help children develop and grow their confidence, empathy, friendships, and skills working in groups.

Kristen Roberts is a licensed special education teacher with over 18 years of experience in public school settings. She brings deep expertise in social development along with a positive, playful energy that helps children feel supported and engaged. Kristen excels at using a variety of evidence-based practices and creates customized activities tailored to the unique needs of each learner.
