In this mixed media art class, we will create a felt pocket pet. We will begin with the concept of our pet, create our own pattern, and then make it out of felt, learning hand sewing and embroidery techniques. We will also make a little home for our pet by decorating a tin box with paper, fabric or other decorative details. Children will have so much fun bringing their pocket pet visions to life!

Claudia is a watercolor artist and avid sewer with a background in fashion design and a passion for all things creative. She is an elementary art teacher and has been teaching adults to paint for the past couple years. She loves to share her enthusiasm for art and painting with others.
