Calling all youngsters who like to wiggle! This creative movement class empowers little ones to explore their creative voices through movement games, obstacle courses, storytelling, rhythm/music, and more. This class is usually most enjoyed by children ages 3-5, though children 2.5-3 with a strong sense of independence and children 5.5-6 with a strong sense of whimsy are welcome.
Here's what they are saying about Tony's Creative Movement Class:
"Tony is great with the kids, and the vibe is both highly engaging and low pressure. The activities are fun and creative and the pacing is spot on. I also appreciate the chance for kids of many different ages and abilities to play and move with each other."
Known by the New York Times as the “deliciously goofy Guglietti,” Tony received his BFA from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Upon graduation he became a founding member of Sean Curran Company, and performed with Brian Brooks Moving Company, Peter Pucci, and Joanna Mendl Shaw, among others. For six years, Tony directed the dance program at the Pomfret School in CT. He has taught in universities, youth studios, church basements, and even in Kazakhstan. Tony regularly performs with Peter DiMuro/Public Displays of Motion and with partner Kristin Wagner as “Decent Dance." Decent Dance recently added a third collaborator, Nico Anthony, after a grueling 8 month audition process. If you don't get the joke: Nico is a baby (specifically, Tony's and Kristin's baby). Outside of dance, Tony refs hockey, eats too much fast food, and performs stand up comedy. Tony is an excellent painter (houses, not canvas) so if you need a fresh coat on your living room walls, check out Steady Guglietti Precision Painting on Facebook.
