Learn the basics of knitting in this fun and welcoming class designed just for beginners! Students will get hands-on experience with essential techniques, including how to cast on stitches and master the basic knit stitch. Once they’ve built confidence with the fundamentals, they'll choose a simple, rewarding project—either a cozy scarf or a mini blanket for a favorite stuffed animal. No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and creativity!

I have my teaching degree in Early Childhood Education but most of my career has been spent working/running After School Programs for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Having been doing this for 20 years, I have tried almost every arts and crafts project out there! When not at work, I enjoying knitting, playing my fiddle, and figuring out what hobby I want to try next!
