GIN-uary: A Gin & Tonic Mixology Experience

Think you know gin? Think again. Join us for GIN-uary, an immersive gin mixology class led by Miguel, our resident liquid enthusiast, as he returns for his second gin experience—this time even more refined, flavorful, and fun. You’ll explore a curated selection of gins paired with complementary tonics while learning: The history of gin How it’s made The differences between classic and modern styles Together, we’ll taste and compare: London Dry Old Tom Botanical Western-style gins You’ll also discover how different tonics and flavor profiles completely transform a gin—and why the right pairing makes all the difference. To top it off, Miguel will guide you through crafting a special signature cocktail, infused with a fresh fruit or herb, designed exclusively for this class. Not a gin lover (yet)? Perfect. Gentle Yoga for Healing: Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation
Yoga
This course is great for those who are recovering from an injury, or want to focus on injury prevention. We will focus on a combination of mobility, strength, and flexibility in the different joints in our bodies, to create more durability and resilience. This is a slow paced class, and great for those new to yoga, or those who want a gentle yet intentional class. Please bring a yoga mat to class. Geopolitical Roundtable: A Closer Look at Significant Issues and Events in Geopolitics Today
Current Events
MG (Ret) Bruce Zukauskas will lead and facilitate a roundtable discussion on significant geopolitical issues and events occurring in today's complex world. The objective is to provide a forum for a better understanding of world events and also provide a means to discuss and learn about different viewpoints on world affairs. General Zukauskas will select his “Top 3 Issues or Events of the Day” prior to each session in order to help stimulate the discussion. For example, the “Top 3 Issues” for a session might be: the West’s continued support for the War in Ukraine, Israel and Hamas, or Iran’s next move in the Middle East. He will begin each session with a short background presentation for a better understanding of the topics. A roundtable discussion, facilitated by General Zukauskas, will follow for questions, comments, and discussion on the selected topics or other noteworthy geopolitical topics of interest by the group. **All proceeds benefit the Prescott Community Center.** Here is what they are saying about Bruce's Geopolitical Roundtable: "A diverse array of relevant topics is addressed, with Organizer presenting thought-provoking content." Learn to Play Pickleball

Pickleball is social and fun! This class is geared for the player who wants to learn the game and all of its rules. Each week, the focus will shift to a different element of the game. During each class there will be instruction, player development skills & drills and game play. You are expected to attend all 4 weeks of the session. The instructor provides the pickleball racquets and balls. Students may choose to bring their own. Lost Groton: Architecture That Has Vanished From Our Streets

Over Groton’s nearly 370 years of history, many significant buildings have come and gone from its landscape. In this class, we will learn about several notable structures, distinguished for their history and architecture, that are no longer with us. Through their stories we see the changing fabric of the community, and the vital role of historic preservation, while catching a glimpse of Groton’s streets from centuries past.

55 million women in the United States are currently experiencing menopause. The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause explores the hidden impact of menopause on women's lives. With evidence-based information, the film empowers women to make informed health decisions and aims to remove the stigma surrounding menopause and aging. Join Menopause Health and Fitness Specialist Kerry Ann Madden for a documentary screening, followed by a lively discussion of the film's key themes. Martial Arts for Adults

This program is intended for students to learn focus, physical fitness and coordination, and be able to protect themselves. In addition, students will learn self control through balancing mind, body, and spirit through the martial arts. Students will learn techniques from Karate, Kung Fu, and Jiu Jitsu and how the styles blend together.

Moms Who Move: Postnatal Rehabilitation with Your Baby!
Exercise
This course is for new moms who want to rehab their bodies through intentional breath and movement, but can’t find the time with the busy schedule a newborn requires! Bring your baby (0-1) and learn some simple yet effective exercises you can do with your little one! All exercises will integrate our littles so they will be entertained and engaged while we are moving. This is a great course for moms who want to learn postnatal-specific exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor, reduce abdominal separation, strengthen the core, mobilize the hips, and strengthen the shoulders. You will leave this class feeling energized and ready to embrace life with a newborn! This is also a great opportunity to connect with other new moms in a friendly and supportive environment. Emma has been teaching yoga for 13 years, and pre- and postnatal yoga for 9 years. She has two kiddos aged 4 and 7 and loves helping moms feel confident in their bodies during this transformative stage into motherhood. Please bring a yoga mat, a towel or blanket to place the baby on, a water bottle, and wear something comfy and easy to move in.

Newhouse Wildlife Rescue Presents: Nibi the Beaver & Stanley the Groundhog

Join a live wildlife talk with Jane Newhouse, founder of Newhouse Wildlife Rescue, and meet Nibi the beaver and Stanley the groundhog! Newhouse Wildlife Rescue is a rehabilitation facility for injured and orphaned wildlife in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. With the company of Nibi and Stanley, Jane will discuss how wildlife is rescued and cared for in the rehabilitation facility. You will learn the dos and don’ts of helping injured and orphaned wild animals in emergencies, how humans can coexist with wild animals in our community, and gain awareness, love, and respect for wildlife. Bring your questions! Nibi, the celebrity beaver, was rescued in 2022 after being found alone on the side of the road as a one-week-old. The state later determined that Nibi was healthy and should be released. Petitions, social media outcries, and court battles ensued to keep her safe in rehab. The story was reported by The New York Times, The Washington Post, “Today Show,” the BBC, and beyond. Finally, with the intervention of Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, Nibi was granted a permit to stay with Newhouse as an educational ambassador. **Children must be accompanied by a paying adult.** **All proceeds benefit the Prescott Community Center.**

Join us at the Prescott Community Center for a dynamic opera education series centered around the Live from the Met in HD broadcasts. Before each broadcast, participants will receive background on the featured opera, its composer, story, and production elements to enhance the viewing experience. Following each screening, the group will gather for a guided reflection and discussion, providing space to share impressions, unpack themes, and deepen understanding. Join us for a fun and creative painting night at the Prescott Community Center, where you can sip wine and create a masterpiece! Whether you’re an experienced artist or just starting out, this relaxed event is the perfect way to unwind, express yourself, and connect with others. Come solo or bring friends—the atmosphere will be full of creativity, laughter, and great company. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase to make your evening even more enjoyable. Join us to paint silk scarves with alcohol ink! Dana Haigh will teach techniques to make vibrantly patterned scarves using inks and isopropyl alcohol. Painting in Acrylic for Beginners
Painting
Acrylic paint is the most forgiving paint available. Water-mixable, without the danger of oils or the unpredictability of watercolor, acrylic is the perfect medium for practicing fundamentals. We'll learn to compose an image, mix colors confidently, and paint boldly. We will also experiment with texture, acrylic mediums, and palette knives to find the painting process that fits your style best. Ultimately, you will develop the skillset you need to paint whenever and however you like. Though designed for beginners, intermediate and advanced students will also benefit from this class. Pastel for All Levels
Painting
In the classroom, we will create still life pastels from your favorite life and landscape photos. We will explore composition, underdrawing, perspective, color harmony, and pastel application onto different surfaces. The instructor will provide a demonstration at the beginning of every class and instruction throughout. This class emphasizes creativity, exploration, and experimentation rather than technique. While composition, color mixing, perspective, and mark-making will all be considered, learning technique is a by-product of the joyful creation of art. All participants will enjoy the freedom of experimenting with mixed media and surfaces and approaching the edge of abstraction in a friendly, supportive environment. This class is for all skill levels, including beginners. This medium is immediate! **Beginner students may pay the instructor $15 at the first class, which includes all materials.** A material list will be provided for those students who want to own their supplies. Pickleball: Skills & Drills

This class is designed for beginner to low intermediate level players who want to practice their shots and improve their pickleball skills through weekly play. The last twenty minutes will focus on match play with rotations. **Prerequisite: Learn to Play Pickleball** The instructor will review the students' levels and contact those who have mismatched levels. Pilates with Props
Exercise
Pilates with Props will use props such as the fitness circle, small balls, weights, and bands to intensify, support, and aid in muscle firing to build strength. The class is appropriate for all levels. You may bring a thick towel or workout blanket for additional support. If you have an issue the instructor needs to be sensitive about (such as recent surgery, health conditions, etc.), please let Courtney know before class. Please consult your doctor before attending class if you have any health conditions. Please bring a mat, towel, water bottle, and stretch band (optional).

Planning Your Trip to Magnificent Glacier National Park

Famous throughout the world, Glacier National Park is a geographical marvel with jaw-dropping mountain vistas, deep valleys, and clear, pristine lakes, and should be on everyone's travel destination list. Your host for this session is Steve Brunelle, a savvy and experienced DIY traveler who has visited all of the major parks in America. He has stayed in their lodges and camped, hiked, explored, and sought out the best areas to see and experience. Steve recently returned from a trip to Glacier National Park in September and is eager to share his experiences and photos and help you prepare and make the most of your trip. Having a successful and memorable trip to these large remote parks requires skillful planning and research. This program will help simplify the daunting task of planning your own trip. Rolling Out the Spring and Summer Rolls!

Join us for a hands-on experience making fresh summer rolls and fried spring rolls with rice paper wrappers! Since their original creation in China over 1700 years ago, these rolls have continuously adapted to local climates and cultures around the world. Vietnamese summer rolls (also known as fresh spring rolls or salad rolls) are made with fresh, uncooked vegetables. The Vietnamese spring roll (Cha Gio) is a delicious fried version of summer rolls that pairs well with salad. In this program, we will start by preparing two dipping sauces, Nuoc Cham and Peanut Sauce, for both types of rolls. Then, we will make our own summer rolls using rice paper, vermicelli, fresh herbs, lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, avocado, bell peppers, tofu, shrimp, imitation crabmeat, and smoked salmon, and craft spring rolls with ground pork or tofu. The best part is enjoying them with family and friends! So, come together and have fun!
